Residence Inn Columbus

Spent three weeks here in a studio with a full equipped kitchen which was essential to me because I have food allergies and need to cook for myself... I give this place five stars out of five stars. They go to great lengths to keep the property clean and neat, including the exterior. Spotless. Need an extra roll of paper towel or some more lotion or some of their delicious body wash or it shampoo or hair conditioner... Just ask. They have a nice full breakfast every morning, complimentary. They also have a nice indoor heated pool and a nice Fitness room. They have a nice lounging area outside. Coffee, teasing, waters, complimentary, in the front area, too. I was impressed because the rooms are so well insulated. I didn't hear a sound from any other room around me ever. That's huge. Every single person who works here always had a smile and a nice word to say, and they were friendly.... What a pleasure. They also have plenty of sidewalks and green space for walking my goldendoodle witch was wonderful. I can't think of one thing.I would change about this place or the staff. Awesome all around. You're close to the interstate, if you want to go to indy or cincinnati or louisville... It's about a ten minute drive to downtown columbus... Or you could head over to nashville, indiana and look at the quaint shops and enjoy the beauty of the area. This place is awesome.

This is not a clean hotel. My room was very dumpy, and frankly I felt awful about having to spend the night in this room and environment. The bathroom was filthy as well. Bad smells throughout the hallways. In the morning I saw insect bites on my chest. I had to check out early because I simply couldn’t stand spending another night there. I’d avoid.

The Residence Inn Columbus truly went above and beyond when we visited to view the eclipse from Columbus, Indiana. The hotel welcomed us with goodie bags of eclipse themed treats (moon pies, Starburst candies, Eclipse gum), maps and guides to local eclipse events, and eclipse glasses - just to make sure everyone had them. Despite being much, much busier than usual, the staff were consistently cheery and friendly, fostering a celebratory atmosphere, and even helped us find a last minute restaurant table. A lovely stay in Columbus.

With a comfortable and clean room, a friendly and helpful staff, and a breakfast with a variety of options, this place checked all of the major boxes. The location was convent for visiting Brown County State Park. Would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

Sad change since we stayed here in 2010 when it was better taken care of. Our room had many obvious issues of neglect which made us sad to see. Strong fragrance odor made me wonder what they were trying to hide, took down the shower head myself to clean it before we showered, tub bottom sticky and brown, wallpaper in bathroom had very obvious brown marks they couldn’t possibly have missed when cleaning which I cleaned with a Clorox wipe, shredded carpet at the entrance to the bathroom, a/c vents were brown all over the louvers and goodness knows what else. In addition we were told our room was handicap accessible but was not in any way except for being on the first floor. The layout of the room was nice and as best I could tell the bed was visibly clean but that is all I could say nice about it. I hate to think of how filthy the carpet must have been.

... a great Residence Inn property post-Covid. Breakfast was hot and plentiful with ample seating. Check-in/out smooth with very helpful front desk staff. Noticed it was dog friendly too. Quiet location.

The phone number posted in Google for this facility is a SCAM. They charged me $ 255.89 Check out receipt for the correct amount is $ 141.96 Overcharged $ 113.93, already reported to my credit card company. Other than that facility is nice except they force you to pay $ 20.00 upon arrival for"incidentals". I never got that money back.

I understand why cleaning stopped during the Pandemic, but I suspect Marriott is simply saving money now by not cleaning (except for once weekly on Tuesdays.) We found a dirty sock from the past customer, next to lamp on entering our room. The glass doors on the cabinets had greasy fingerprints. Certainly not recently wiped down. If they are not going to clean when customers are using the room, they should at least clean well before the next customer rents it! And yes, that will take more time since nothing is done while the room is occupied. Front desk staff were GREAT, however, and very helpful. Breakfast was worse than I would have expected from a Marriott and hot food was not (on weekdays) kept re-stocked.

Overall, a good stay and would stay here again when passing through. Easy and convenient to stay in Columbus instead of dealing with the hassles of Indianapolis or Louisville. Stayed in a two bedroom suite, which was plenty of room for us and our kids. Hotel was quiet at night and this hotel sits a little bit down the road from I-65, so you get no highway noise at all. Check in was friendly and the elevator is larger than normal for a hotel of this type, which is nice when you have a lot of luggage. Negatives were I thought the mattress was a little bit saggy and soft and there were some drainage issues in one of the two bathrooms, plus some rust stains in the shower.
